Tortoises - African Spurred, Leopard & Desert Sign In or Register to add photos
Here are all my wide collection of Tortoises! I have six total. 3 Sulcatas "African Spurred" (Geochelone Sulcata), 2 Leopards (Geochelone Pardalis) & 1 Desert (Gopherus Agassizii).
New photos will be added here rather than to the Tortoises' page to prevent slow loading : ) They are all so comfortable together even though I have heard they do better seperately. I watch closely daily to see if they start to have signs of not liking each other but after 6 months, they are all perfectly healthy and getting along so I don't think its a problem. I will give it another 6 months under close watch and if they STILL all do fine then I will keep them together since they are all so wonderful as a group.
I feed them all Bermuda hay along with Cactus + Dragon Plant and on an occasion, green cut grass. I threat them with lettuce and fruits once a week or so, so in that way, they don't have too much sugar in their diet.
