Most of them are my Father's birds : )
He really enjoys raising them even though I take care for them most of the time. Haha. Oh well, as long as my father is happy right?
I bought most of them for my Father's enjoyment only so he just have to help me build the cages and feeding them. I gather the eggs they lay and sell them or hatch them out to sell the chicks to cover for the cost, etc. They sure eat plenty of expensive foods!
They need high protein so their diet consists of: Gamebird Crumble, Wildbird Seeds, Chicken Mash, Chicken Scratch + Greens. Like the Quails, they LOVE lettuce and fruits. During the laying months, soften dog kibbles help with the protein too along with hard-boiled eggs.
I collect the tails and exotic feathering to make my own decorations and I often times donate them to artists who can do something with them. I rather put them to good use than to waste them. For the long feathers, sometimes I curl it around the center and edge of the nest so that the hens will have extra "pheasant-feather" cushions to lay on : )
